Not budget cuts to the military! They barely have any money as it is! It's not as if the US military has a bigger budget than that of the next 10 biggest military forces combined including China and it's military that defends literally a billion people. It's not as if the US military budget has increased every single year under every government regardless of whether Republicans or Democrats were in charge.

The minimum wage becomes less every year due to inflation and rising costs of living, so in reality her "ludicrously absurd" position is just that the minimum wage should, relative to inflation, not be less than it was a few decades ago. That it should at least be on par with the wages that the Baby Boomer generation made when they first entered the workforce. And since America is richer than ever, that's totally doable.

Free college, one of those other things a bunch of other industrialized democracies do that America somehow can't manage to pull off...

But I don't think it's any of these things, because there are plenty of white and/or male progressive congressmen with the same position all over the country and none of them are famous, are they?

I cant speak for people outside this thread, but casting a net and adopting the default stance of anyone that criticizes this individual is probably just being racist seems like pretty poor form.

You jest but that's actually true. Their budget has grown at a lesser rate than everything else and it shows. Either they need more money or we need to seriously streamline the budget and cut out any and all wasteful spending and send it somewhere useful if we want to maintain the current world order.

I mean I'm not saying I inherently disagree with any of her points, hell I even agree with the military cuts and the raise of minimum wage and free college (even if I think that both are rather difficult to implement or the minimum level is maybe a bit too high), I am just not agreeing with the stance of assuming anyone who criticizes her is most likely a racist by default and saying that these are potential reasons for disagreement.
