It's a wonderful, wonderful world.
Why do you hate Ilhan Omar then?
We are not talking about hate here. She is largely a generic progressive. The only other regard than this clumsy word choice that has ever had her pop up on my radar is in some similar fumbled choice of words on Israel. In this regard she appears to calculate poorly when discussing controversial issues and be a bit of a liability.
Other than that, my criticism would be the same as that of other progressives, a facile and identity-focused analysis of inequality that is easily coopted by elites, and can only ever deliver the kind of modest returns on class-related issues that the next opposition candidate will have no trouble reversing. As such, the progressive strategy ultimately delivers zero to minimal lasting benefits to the average member of the working class, whether they be white, black, male or female.
My opinion as an outsider is that she is politically clumsy, her fervour is directed towards the wrong issues, and she is part of a political grouping that I find limited and a bit frustrating. But there is quite the gulf between "not like" - the opinion I have expressed - and "hate" - a word you seem to have reached deep inside your intestinal tract for in order to yank it straight out through your anus.
