He was a well-spoken politician who constantly got in the way of his generals, declared war on the Soviets before consolidating western Europe, declared war on the US when Japan did when he didn't have to, and called for a campaign of murder and extermination that rerouted supplies and troops that were desperately needed for the war effort to murder civilians which only led to more partisan activity and revolts.
