Well I agree with most of what the brother/sister said, excluding stoning, the enkief that women being forbidden from driving was an ok fatwa, and the denial (?) of Ahmadi persecution in Pakistan. Everything else they said is pretty spot on.

I mean, yeah, Ilhan Omar advocates for unislamic things, especially the things that are seen as morally abhorrent in Islam. Though strategy wise, her presence will encourage other Muslims to join Congress and make it more diverse.

No it's not. There is nowhere in the Quran or sunnah that prohibits this.

Muslims running for office is an excellent way getting muslims and other minorities represented here in our nation. This can help clear up much misconception against our faith.

The duty of a Muslim is to always serve Allah and humanity second. A Muslim politician in a western country is no different.

Besides Christians and Jews worked in Muslim governments. Even as early as Medina.

If there's not an Islamist party in a country trying to (re)establish the Holy Qur'an and Sunnah, then we shouldn't be running for office. At least not nationally, provincially, nor maybe locally.

He should not have run for office, correct. No Muslim who lives in a country not governing by Shari'ah should run for any kind of government position that deals with law.

Anyways, I've been thinking about extinction. Sure, in the case of dinosaurs, it was God's will, but since we came around we've caused a lot of extinctions on the planet. Who do you guys think will be judged for such a sin? All of humanity or just the greedy ones?

From a theistic perspective, extinctions make no sense.
