Many Jews had known Greek for a long time due to the conquest of Palestine, Syria, and Egypt by Alexander the Great in the 4th Century BC. There was a large Jewish community in the Greek world, most notably in Alexandria, where the Old Testament was translated into Greek.

I'm curious as to your stance on trans people engaging in sexual activity? Assuming you think homosexual activity is a sin, it would seem that the only solution would be for trans people to be celibate (as many churches recommend LGB people be,) but I'd be interested to know your thoughts.

As a Catholic; I say we should follow Pope Francis' message of inclusivity, and accept the Transpeople AND the LGB group regardless of archaic doctrines and books like "Theology of the Body" which have alienated or regressed various sections of our religion.
From a more scientific perspective: I'd say that the Earth is at the point of overcrowding and humans are naturally going to be more inclined to be LGB (or T) because humanity subconsciously avoids overpopulation in whatever area it's in (Real World Example: Japan is having difficulty getting young people to copulate and have children), so therefore it would be in our best interest to prepare for this and get some Okay-ish PR out of it.
