Not to mention legal drugs like Oxycontin have killed hundreds of thousands of people. I wouldn't be surprised if the total number of deaths from opioids is more than Pablo Escobar's drug war.

It probably is and it keeps rising every year. Take Fentanyl addiction, for example.

And naturally the same companies responsible for manufacturing opiates also have their grubby little hands on the pharmaceutical treatments for opiate addiction. It's just a profit-fest for these guys, deaths be damned.
