You're not nearly as cool as you think you are by continuing the tired old Twilight hate brigade. We all know the book sucks, your juvenile attempts to let us know how much you hate the book became boring a decade ago. It had some good meme value, but now it's just as annoying as their fanbase was.

Books are dangerous. People are swayed by books, books do this all the time, this is not something unheard of. How is this so inconceivable? People have read books like The God Delusion, Das Kapital, the Bible and have assented to the positions of the text because of it, so swayed are they of its rhetoric or its forcefulness or its supposed ‘facts AND logic’. If a priest believes in what they think is the Truth, then that priest has every reason to suppress in his parish that which could teach things contrary to the Truth and endanger faith and morals.
First off bold of you to assume Christianity is truth.
And second how does fucking Harry Potter threaten Chriatnity in any way?
I mean if Christianity needs to go facist and burning books because they don’t like them than Christianity seems pretty weak.

I also find such burnings funny as when they do happen, they typically buy said books, meaning they support the writer

The continued existence of this book is what causes RLS
Twilight most likely single-handedly give birth to sparkling vampires. Think about that too, and shudder. I will just shred the book and maybe recycle it, but yeah, that'll be the hippie me.
Going back to the topic, I don't want to make a sweeping statement, so... do most religious zealots (if that's the right term) and fire just go hand-in-hand? Pyromaniacs, I must say.

This is one of the many reasons why the Protestant Reformation happened. Priests told bullshit and lies about the bible and, guess what, people found out it was bullshit.
For example: Nowhere in the bible does it say there is a purgatory.
