Honestly the rejection email is way, way better than getting nothing at all.

And I say this as the guy who once got 3 rejection emails in one hour once.

I've been to auditions where the production team just doesn't contact people who've been rejected. It's pretty fucking rude to put people through an audition and then not give them the courtesy of knowing that they haven't been accepted. Rejection letters are good. It means you can work on improving yourself and move on to the next application easily, instead of being stuck in the will they-won't they limbo of not knowing.

Very awkward moment

(iM walks in*)

Head teacher: Teacher Diana is back today.

IM: wait, really? a hahaha! Good one. Is this a joke?

Head teacher: ...

IM: you’re joking right? ... wait

head teacher: no she’s back for real. She cancelled her holiday. You’ll still co-teach with her for the day though. Just be a team.

To be honest, I would have done the same.

Cancelled my vacation, I mean.

I had to pull out three wisdom teeth today. My dentist told me that I could two today and leave the other one for another time, but after the first 4 anestic needles, I wanted to be done with needles for good, so I did the other one, too. That took 7 needles all up, and I spent the whole time trembling from fear, but atleast 3 of them are done for good. I didn't want to come back to do the other 3 needles. The last one was the worst one, so I'm glad it's out

You've literally just described my worst nightmare.

I have a severe fear of needles that stems from a bad experience with an oral surgery I had when I was a teenager.

These weren't just your average needles, these were the largest needles I've ever seen. 2-3 times the size of average needles

I overcame my fear of needles when I had to have a load of blood tests. I realised that the fear was generated by what I was anticipating the experience to be like, rather than what it was actually like.

she requested to take EXACTLY these 4 days off (its highly highly irregular and problematic because according to formal policy with the central organization we're supposed to take Leave in blocks of 1 complete weeks; we work Saturdays)

after it was granted, she left about 6 classes for me to solo teach

she and her husband were going to go to this special residence and tour provided by the university the husband works at. Unfortunately, it was raining terrible (thunderstorm) and she apparently had a huge fight with her husband over being too distracted at work and miscommunication certain logistical issues regarding the trip (like how often he had to go to meetings and stuff).

So she called to get the 2 days back and came back immediately

I was allowed to co-teach the classes instead (however, starting on Friday its going to be absolutely INSANE in terms of me having to teach entire days all the way well into next week for another instructor on holiday)

they've left me a ton of crafts to do so we'll see how it goes

This kid today was told to trace and color this teddy bear on a worksheet.

After completing the work and colouring like an expressionist maniac, he started drawing large circles outside of the teddy bears (about 5 of them)

I asked him why he was drawing these circles...

and he started pointing at these circles one by and one while saying:

"This is me. This is you. This is teacher Diana. This is..."
