I am pissed, it's a perfect beach day, and the water is to cold.

Between resuming my workout routine and helping put our pool up outside, I've exercised more in the past 4 days than I have in the last 4 years.

Robert Moses would have taken care of that, though I have to admit, he doesn't strike me as a beach kind of guy. And one of his tactics for keeping people of color out of public pools was to keep the water temperature low. Hmmm ...

I guess. I mean I've sweated off three pounds already. But EVERYTHING is sore. You ever put up a pool before? It's a real bitch.

Did you sweat those three pounds into the pool? To save on water?

Water? Please, we're not even close to that. We're setting up the base. Which requires shoveling sand and hauling heavy ass blocks in 90 degree heat.

Can't say I have. I don't have a pool.

Don't have a yard either but I can't say that would stop me.

Can't say you're really living if you don't have a pool.

Does a kiddie pool count? That's the budget friendly option.

The tactic was to not build public transport to the beach, Jones beach for example.

I like the moses beaches though, we go to riis park. Clean bathrooms, good food, but way to many hipsters.

Email him his unofficial transcript with just that class on it with an F and an abysmal GPA.

Yes, that, too, but I found the water temperature thing while skimming through the Wiki article on him.

Thunderstorm last night - and probably the next few upcoming nights. Been feeding the dog these tiny little chews that help him not freak out (it's got a tiny bit of CBD in it) and I don't know of it's just confirmation bias or pet owner's placebo or whatever but we have noticed a lot less running around and barking and freaking out. He still shivers a lot but he's been a lot quieter during the storms. He's such a good boy.
