That's blatantly untrue, there are plenty negligent parents out in the world.

I think that's the implication; that the parents who aren't willing to do anything that may "mess up" their kids, as it were, are the negligent ones.

I'd argue that a lot of the involvement parents should have in their kids should involve boundaries and rules and the like; it shouldn't involve corporal punishment.

Hell, there's also the free range parents; not entirely sold on the method, but the idea of allowing kids to understand, on their own terms, how to act within a public space seems like a good idea in general.

I hereby propose the following definition for "Responsibilty": a portmanteau of "Responsibility" and "Guilty", as in where one (namely the RBA) takes responsibility out of feeling guilty for their mistakes.

I think I nailed it.

I don't think children have expiration dates, but OK.

There's literally no way to pronounce "responsibilty" that doesn't sound like you're just slurring "responsibility".

All humans do. It's just not printed on the packaging.

In that case I am just not good enough at parodying typos.

Unwrapping is not advised though - it can get messy.

I hear that the wrapper can be reused in book covers.

That's true. A bit miserly maybe, but true.

Nothin' miserly about recycling human resources.

I hate those wrapping covers you get with hardcover books. Annoying. I always take those wrappers off and use the pics for decor or DIY projects.

Dust jackets are there for a reason (and they also make convenient bookmarks), but you do you I guess.

I hoard books too. I'm running out of shelf space.

Yep. I prefer the plain book, no jacket. They also look more aesthetically pleasing to me when I display them in my bookcases.
