So I was looking at nationstates from the google page and saw cyber nation on similar games. Then I saw some game called ‘the Urban Dead’ so I decided to try it. After a bit, it says this “You are standing outside Cheek Road Fire Station, a small grey-stone building surrounded by a large paved plaza. The building has been extremely heavily barricaded - you can see no way to enter.

Lights are on inside.

Somebody has spraypainted Heya any fellow NSers out there! onto a wall.”
Damn, they found me quickly. This IS NS TERRITORY RIGHT HERE.

Oh yeah, I remember playing that game a bit. I personally prefer Die2Nite when I want my multiplayer browser zombie game fix, but Urban Dead is okay too.

Surrexit Dominus Vere, Alleluia!

I wish you all a very blessed Easter this year and please please remember that the Easter story serves as a message for Hope against all odds and that if no one else does, God loves you so much that he sent his own and only Son to be scourged, mocked and crucified to cleanse you of sin and offer you eternal life.

My dad just went from a Tucker Carlson loving, Trump voting, hardcore Republican to a fairly diehard Bernie supporter after a few months of personal hardship and perspective changing. I'm quite shocked to see this after my whole life of knowing my old man as a ride and die Republican - really, the fact that he's changed his entire political beliefs since I last saw him in January are almost too bizarre for me to process.

I mean, love he's more on my side (politically, we've always understood one another), but fuck, this is insane to hear of his quick political transition. Visiting Phoenix to see my family always carries strange surprises, but this one really stood out to me.

I can imagine that being strange. My dad is a die-hard Fox News loving, NRA card carrying, Trump supporting, conservative Republican. I don't expect that will ever change, and it would be shocking to see it if it did.

The distance from Trumpster to BernieBro is not such a wide gulf as you claim. Both have populist support, both appeal by sounding out long-proposed and long-delayed policies and programs, et cetera.

A good number of us here believe in a religion, in an afterlife, and so when people pass on, we content ourselves in wishing them a happy afterlife or something of the sort.

As an atheist I have forsaken that conceptual safety net by choice. I do not believe in it. When you're dead, you're dead, you rot, the microorganisms within you and without you consume you till you become one with the environment. I do not have and will never have that consolation, none of us will have that consolation -- I cannot but stare down that final, impassable abyss, till my time comes and I absolutely have to go --

-- which is why -- be kind to one another -- BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER -- GODDAMMIT -- BE KIND TO ONE ANOTHER -- TO ONE FUCKING ANOTHER -- for the parting shall be final -- and past a certain point correction is futile -- goddammit --
