Explain to them that you are Lord of the Classroom and that defiance is an affront to the natural order that will result in them being locked in the dungeon and given broccoli for dinner.

And then run from the cops as they try to arrest you for child abuse. :p

So my ride and classmate is out sick today, and I didnt plan to get another ride to class today which is at the neighboring city. So more work for me because I dont have a team for the next assignment. :/

Tomorrow is my last 8 hour work shift, next week we're switching to four days a week - 10 hour shifts, not looking forward to it.

There's just so much downtime and general boredom throughout eight hour days already, I can't imagine the torture of a slow, boring, nothing-to-do ten hour day.
