I did say video essay. What where you thinking I was going to link to, a little three minute hyper edited vlog?

No idea youngster, vlog, blog, log, I get confused.

It was so much simpler back in the days. You had Log from Blammo, as seen on Ren & Stimpy. It was all we needed.

Yes. I find that the joy of rearranging/studying. It’s nice to know there’s an island of memories sitting in your room when you don’t have to go far and wide to scout for treasures.

What rolls down stairs

Alone or in pairs,

rolls over your neighbor's dog?

What's great for a snack

and fits on your back?

it's log, log, log!

it's log, log!

It's big, it's heavy, it's wood.

it's log, log!

it's better than bad, it's good!

But that’s different, I think. We all have certain items that we treasure because of their sentimental value. Maybe it was an item gifted by a friend or a parent, or something we bought for ourselves after landing our first job. Maybe it’s a trinket from a fun trip. Or a book we wanted. What I mean is just stuff for stuff’s sake. A profusion of things I personally do not even use but somehow got and kept. Clutter. Yeah. Clutter.

Time for a donation of goods to the local thrift store?

Naw it’s not clutter, it’s memories of your old friendships and old dealings, good or bad. I think that’s awesome to discover, even if it’s not used. The other day I found a note from my Grade 4 friend thanking me as a friend. Touched my heart even though the paper was crumpled and I didn’t use it.

Started a set of boxes for that just this morning. Yep. A few for Goodwill, and the rest for the hospital’s two bargain and charity shops.

I don’t think it would be nice to forsake all your ‘useless but still memories’ to the local thrift store. I’d say only do it if you need the money.

I think it’s safe to say with enough practice, you can learn any song on the piano by using the ‘trial and error’ method. Guess which notes come after until you get the correct one and repeat, then remember the whole sequence. 3 weeks past and I can play nearly 20 songs on the piano now.

Awww... that’s sad. But hey, for charity and the hospital? It’s for a good cause, I won’t stop you. Just sad to see memories gone.

If you see them as memories, good. But stuff I don’t use is probably best to give up so others who may actually need it can use it.

Another nice way to think it. As long as it’s for a good cause, I’ll support it. :)
