Possible. Nowadays random topics become grounds for political and religious wars. I realise there are a lot more reports on flaming and gloating nowadays. I’m getting tired but I will not renounce my place in society.

The political and religious wars are what make NSG interesting. Not always pleasant, but interesting.

I'm not sure the debate on Twitter is better, and I believe Twitter's moderation -- if you run into trouble -- is not as effective.

I think they’re not interesting, I think they’re a huge distraction and divert the group into another topic. If you get too carried away, at least make a new thread.

Are you sure you want to go on to Twitter? I been on there a few times and I only see negative things. I prefer websites with positive vibes while I know NSG doesn't give off those vibes I like talking on here and doing some RPs in my region.

Good for you. Avoid the trouble. The only place I like to go on the General Discussion forum is the TET. I don’t feel safe anywhere else on the General Discussion, though, I post my opinions and argue with people but at least I remind them we’re getting off.

I plan to go back to roleplaying quite soon, which will get them General Generals off my mind, hopefully.

For me when I see a interesting thread I usually just post my opinion do a few replies to other users that quoted me and then just leave with no arguements.

I do that with my own threads XD to be fair.

TET is the friendliest place in NSG, but I wouldn't term the rest of NSG "unsafe". It does get noisy around this time of year, but the beaches always get crowded in summer.

The trick is to find a nice, shady spot to park your beach umbrella.

Well then that must've been an awkard Sunday service I hope your friend doesn't have a negative view on us after that.

I prefer unsafe — I can imagine people talking loudly at the beach arguing just like how we would on NSG :) And I hate to fight but I have to stand up for my opinions.

It’s a good thing to respond casually. I do that because I’m too lazy to fight. But y’know, sometimes the other person becomes angry and turns the whole thing into a fight. I’d try to remain chill and also tell them to chill, but then they’d tell me to chill.

But yes, NSG isn’t itself when it’s peaceful. I think the fights add a little culture.

Perhaps one day I’ll just write issues instead of taking part in them. I have been considering... but I don’t live up to the name.

Did your friend say anything about the sermon? And did it sound ‘too harsh,’ as if [they] must ’all go’?

My friend didn't say anything, luckily.

The only time I did argue with someone was about global warming and that was back when I believed it was fake. But after doing some research I found out the Church was against it and helps the planet to prevent from it. So that changed my mind and now I'm against global warming.

I really want to finish my factbooks and I have a clear idea for them, but at the same time I have no idea how I want to execute that idea

You mean the format? Just take the wiki format, or borrow whatever branches of the nation it discusses. Try to compress the ideas into one overview depending on subject. For instance, in my past 2 years on NS, I have learnt that it takes up factbook space to divide all your military assets in their own factbooks instead of merging them all.

I have a lot of factbooks yet to do, I better stop lazing around. :P

I always found it more characterised by irritation, smashing things, giving up and releasing subpar work moderately well-received by idiots.

I had the weirdest dream of my life so far, and probably the best.

The first segment was a bit benign. I went back to some Ottoman Empire-era place (the places were very vague), and I was tasked with fending off an invading force... with nothing but a M1 Garand. And some supernatural beings were involved.

----

That's not the weird dream. The weird dream was another segment when I realised that I was literally God. As in, I could see everything, read everyone's mind, make even the most impossible of things happen. Every single religion was denounced and made obsolete, because... no one suspected that some clumsy dude named Valentine is God.

So... what did I do with all this infinite power?

Teleport around, fool with people. Also visited a convention centre and made all the dreams/perform miracles come true for other people. I was able to rig the games of chance they have at the conventions to give 100% payouts, and giving ultra-rare cards for some card game they were showing off, or making prototype/alpha versions of the upcoming video games to come out bug-free and free of DLCs.

I did not do any world-ending, or destroy a city; I was just... fooling around, yeah.

----

There was that.
