Vassenors long standing hypocrisy on the topic of presumption of innocence. Every time it's a Muslim, left winger or someone anti-Trump we all need to adhere to presumption of innocence as long as possible but when it's someone on the other side of the argument Vassenor is happy to throw all that out the window.

It's so obnoxious even people who agree and are on the same side of the political spectrum as Vass have commented on it.

Any examples of this double standard? Just curious.

Presumption of innocence only applies to a court of law, not public opinion.

He was never in a serious conversation about a presidential run. If your opinion of Dems is that ridiculously low, I have a bridge that doesn't cost that much and it'll show 'em what's what.

You do realize that this is Avenatti we're talking about, right? I doubt that he would've ever survived Super Tuesday, but he did want to run as a Democrat.

There's no need to insult cable news pundits like that. If we had a cable news pundit on NSG, I'd report you for flaming :lol2:

And now he's arrested for extorting the company branded by Colin Kaepernick. I'm just hoping that Jussie Smollet was his co-conspirator. Needless to say, the Democrats rejected him. His only friends are at CNN.

Apparently one of whom was also named as a co-conspirator:

So is anyone here aside from Vass going to defend Avenatti? Valrifell's defending the DNC, as is Gormwood, who's also lobbying a shot or two at Trump. C'mon guys, Avenatti needs your support, he's quite lonely, and it could get stormy in jail.

To be fair, he was never a serious Trump threat, nor a serious attorney, so he's entirely consistent. Joking aside, I don't view that joke as a diss on the Democrats, as much as it is a diss on Avenatti. We both know that he wouldn't have made it past Super Tuesday. But even if he had a one percent chance, he'd try, and that's what makes Woodfiredpizza's joke even more hilarious.

Besides, you guys have Pete Buttigieg :P

Why was he trying to extort Nike, of all things? That's a bit odd.

Given his recent high profile case, you'd figure he'd have some better opportunities. Not that I'm endorsing what the person did. They committed a crime and deserve just punishment, as do any conspirators.

As will anybody that wishes to do evil.

Become reviled by all major political parties, the public, and the corporations. Just Do It! Believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything!

I gotta say, Avenatti is following Nike's slogan - he believes in his right to be a sanctimonious douchebag, and he is sacrificing everything to worship that belief.

In an alternate reality, Michael Avenatti and Anthony Scaramucci would've been best friends and done a tone of coke in Atlantic City together.
