Also false. There are many ways to justify capital punishment. I use the Shari'ah justification.

To who? And how much is paid? And who determines that? And it must be nice to think you can ever truly wash away the guilt of the execution of an innocent by paying someone some completely arbitrary amount of money.

Don't execute people even if you do have 100% proof that they're guilty. If they're imprisoned, they're no longer a threat to anyone else, so killing them is just pointlessly cruel.

At the point that somebody has been detained and is no longer a threat to society, killing them is nothing more than state-sanctioned murder. There is no motive besides anger, which makes it a heinous act.

Tell that to organized crime bosses.

Wobbling about a bit between different "flavours" of politics with similarish principles but differences in emphasis of those principles and different means of carrying them out is fairly normal. We live in societies where the current centre-ground is slightly-more-regulated capitalism or less-regulated-capitalism. Add into the mix that everyone keeps constantly repeating the mantra that nothing different is possible, and it's an environment rife to produce doubt in all but those with the deepest-dug bunkers.

Too late for that now, it seems. He's been calling himself a socialist since he was a mayor. Probably even before that. And one of the things that make Bernie appealing is his consistency. His views since the 70s and 80s haven't flip-flopped, but evolved to being more progressive.

Or less progressive, I'm not entirely sure. But he's consistently been a progressive, as opposed to centrists/moderates trying to pass themselves off as progressives ala Kamala and Beto
