It's was different in my high school. It's hard to tell which one of us is more representative. The high school I went to was in the suburbs of an Australian city, in a nominally LNP district. Students rarely discussed what ideologies they subscribed to, but from offhand comments, the average seemed to be around centre-left.

Also, this is a nitpick pet peeve of mine, but right-libertarianism is a form of liberalism.

I wouldn't argue as a matter of greater ideological groupings, but in terms of casual political parlance, the two are separate.

Because we were talking about banning subreddits (something we should rarely do btw), and then he made a coy, offhand remark that a subreddit should be fumigated. That sounds a lot more like "this sun should be banned" than "I want to literally exterminate people who disagree with me."

Look at the post he quoted when he made that post and tell me how it relates to banning subreddits, since, apparently, that's the context people are desperately clinging to to defend this shit as a metaphor for banning a subreddit.

In the original context in which he said it, he appears to have said it because he found your joke lingo to be annoying and to be inspired by Chapo, and saying "chapo should be fumigated" as a way to say he hates capo and it should be banned. Not unlike when you said T_D should be purged. It is a joke. If he meant to say all users of chapo should be exterminated, why is he insisting that's not what he meant?
