Except those had little to do with his political ideology. Whether Stalin was a mass murderer has nothing to do with whether his conception of economics is wrong.

You could equally apply that logic to Hitler and the Nazis as a whole, whose entire economic plan for Germany revolved around genocide and mass murder. Genocide was necessary to create the mythical Lebensraum that was promised, and every ounce (literally) of wealth was stripped from the victims of said genocide before, during, and after their deaths, in order to literally profit off of said genocide (there's a reason they removed dental fillings, after all).

You couldn't for the reason you just described. Read Economic Problems of Socialism in the USSR and tell me that Stalin killing people invalidates his analysis there.

I've tried Contrapoints, Hbomberguy, and PhilosophyTube, but not Shaun and Three Arrows. I found Hbomberguy and PhilosophyTube really, really annoying. Contrapoints is actually pretty good, but she's the only exception I've found.

Well, perhaps. I think a lot of it is that a lot of youtube people have little cults of personality around them that fanatically share links and quotes from them, and if they're not for you it's gonna piss you off to have the same person you don't like constantly pushed at you, and you'll think that this is all there is.

For instance, people keep linking me Contrapoints videos, which for me are pure weaponised over-the-top cringe which I can't handle five minutes of without looking for sharp objects. But if I get a rec for a satirist or an interesting philosopher rather than the weird self-centred "performance art" stuff then I'm usually happy.

Unless you explicitly go looking for yourself, you're probably going to be served up what other people like and link you, whether that's the best stuff for you or not.

I've tried Contrapoints, Hbomberguy, and PhilosophyTube, but not Shaun and Three Arrows. I found Hbomberguy and PhilosophyTube really, really annoying. Contrapoints is actually pretty good, but she's the only exception I've found.

I found Contra obnoxious. Hbomberguy's an asshole and annoying, and I never tried the other three, as they never came on to my radar.
