If these results hold in the general, he'll lose the presidency and the province of Buenos Aires by a landslide to the Peronists under Fernández & Fernández.
Not only that, but all the more right-wing parties fell behind the goddamn Trotskyists.
No wonder Macri's team refused to say anything concrete or make any sort of evaluations for the future and the rest of the campaign before the first official results came in. They are done. Macri just blew his way through all of the political capital of the three big parties his coalition was built on. He's single-handedly killed Republican Proposal, the Radical Civic Union and the Civic Coalition. Elisa Carrió, the leader of the Civic Coaliton, rushed onto stage after Macri admitted defeat and gave an impromptu, absolutely deranged speech where she whined that the majority are just conformists who like authoritarianism and compared us to ancient Hebrews who wanted to return to their old Egyptian masters during the Exodus.
You know what? I think I love my country now.
Ostíaaa.
Good news all around.
