Now, the White Rose or all the partisans that openly resisted Nazi rule and occupation? They're much better examples of standing up to Nazism.

So not really Antifa. ^^

They were literally Nazi members of the Wehrmacht that were (correctly) scared Hitler and the Party's leadership was going to get them screwed. That they were Nazis and fascists too isn't really a topic of debate. When we say "it would be better if Operation Valkyrie worked", we don't mean it would be a utopia, just better than the National Socialist Worker's Party being in charge.

It probably wouldn't have made much of a difference if they were successful. They thought they could sue for peace with the Western Allies, but by July 1944 the Allies were already in France ready to strike at Germany, the Germans were running out of oil, and the Soviet war machine was drawing ever closer. The Allies were absolutely already in a good position to push for an unconditional surrender and not accept an armistice. And if America and Britain did make peace, Germany would actually have been worse off because the Soviets would not stop until they conquered the whole country.

Perhaps they would let the allies get in to prevent the soviets from grabbing up terretory in Europe and thus Operation Unthinkable would become a possibility but in different combination. Wehrmacht would side on side with the US army fight against bolshevism.

One question.
Will nations ever stop being a thing?
If so, it will probably start off with increasing amounts of reverse Balkanization until countries just become large blocs/regions. Eventually there might be no seperations, just one world.
Yugoslavia's back baby...

How the hell did this happen?
Well...we don't actually know. Just sort of happened one day.
Is it a reunited Yugoslavia in the 21st century? Is a rebel colony world in the far future? Is it a race of cyborg neo-life at war with any assimilating organisms they come across in the far far future? Who knows, who cares?
New Yugoslavia just is.

It's impossible to say with 100% certainty, but doubtful, considering how attached people are to their language and place of origin. Even many Communist countries are nationalist and use nationalism in their arguments for policy decisions.

The latter will most likely never happen, there is a limit to how many divergent cultures can live under the same roof. I don't think nations or nationalism will disappear.

She doesn't really seem that conservative, or at least she has none of the positive aspects of conservatism. A young modern moderate conservative (the kind who's somewhat liberal on gay marriage and drugs and stuff) couldn't find much to relate to her at all. And how's she leader of the free world?

The US President didn't become LotFW because he wasn't democratically elected. Hence I consider it going to the leader of the next most influential democracy, in this case Germany.

He wasn't elected democratically, but he was elected legally. The electoral college, while I don't like it either, is the legal method by which a person is appointed president. I guess by the same logic Obama wasn't the leader of the free world since 2012 either.

The concept of the "free world" is pretty stupid because really only the US and Britain did any of the heavy lifting.

Because America left the Free World. The presidential election was stolen in plain sight by 2.8 million votes, and the president who stole said election is a serial rapist who puts children in concentration camps.

Hot take: America doesn't actually have a popular vote and it's just a bunch of aliens in gimp suits creating fake polls to deceive us into thinking otherwise.
