Absolute. Fucking. Mad. Lad.
Tbh, I really didn't intend for this. But Torra has taken it upon herself to be the Fun Police.

Nah, I'm not gonna give it a fucking rest, because it's quite well clearly not a case of an "off-color joke", and all this downplaying on his behalf with this shit's pretty damn atrocious to say the fucking least.
I didn't know you'd only just discovered what metaphors were.

I don't think it is compelling evidence of Nazism. Joking about gassing things, espacially non-human things, is not exclusive to Nazis.

Ah, yes, because, clearly, when the context of that post was to reply to a joke about pepe by unironically advocating for gassing a community of people, he obviously was talking about banning that community. The Xenopolis Confederation wrote:

TIL'd a community of people = non-human things, and unironically advocating for gassing them = a joke.
Xen pls.

It's far more likely that you just dropped a supposedly ironic joke in the wrong community and just couldn't say "it was a bad joke, sorry. I just meant ban them" because you're not used to the type of community that protests use of terms such as fumigation as a metaphor for banning.
Yeah, this is the left-wing thread so it makes sense I'd need to walk on eggshells around here.

I have clarified this previously, so you don't actually accept it?
I consider it about the same as claiming that 99% of people don't think of cockroaches as cute. There's a reason why I consider it trivial. If you don't like it, then I'll concede that using actual numbers is a mistake. But the actual number if I had to approximate is probably closer to it anyway. My point is that it's not particularly relevant. What's the difference between claiming 99% do, 95% do, or an overwhelming majority do?
Even actual studies that are actually successfully replicated (a rarity in social justice-laden social sciences) would also have these variances. It's bogging down over semantics. The point is that I consider an overwhelmingly large quantity, not necessarily with a specific number down to seven decimals, as the trivial claim.

I wonder if making 9/11 jokes makes me a Jihadist.

It's implied it's the subreddit he would gas, not the individuals within it. Also, I don't see how it could be described as "unironically."

It very clearly is just an off-color joke that you've seized on to make Nova Cyberia out to be what he's not.
Maybe it's time to stop going ballistic over big heaps of nada.

It's really not. Explain how "Chapo needs to be fumigated tbh" conveys either irony or a metaphor for "ban this community" in ANY way whatsoever.

Honestly the joke was in poor taste, but I am surprised why Torra didn't just give up when it became obvious NC isn't gonna even recognize his joke was in poor taste.

Libertarianism was quite popular when I was in High School, though I also come from a moderately conservative area. It may have been the leftward shift of youth unready to make the change to liberalism.

It's was different in my high school. It's hard to tell which one of us is more representative. The high school I went to was in the suburbs of an Australian city, in a nominally LNP district. Students rarely discussed what ideologies they subscribed to, but from offhand comments, the average seemed to be around centre-left.
Also, this is a nitpick pet peeve of mine, but right-libertarianism is a form of liberalism.

As we all know, writing out, "[this community (in this case, Chapo)] needs to be fumigated (a literal synonym for gassed) tbh," with no hint of irony, no prompting, and no previous context segueing into it is totally a joke.
