Let's say, hypothetically, you were the dictatorship of a tin-pot nation like Tropico. How you reigned doesn't matter, but what does matter is that you get into some weird and disturbing scandal involving 20 cats, a hooker, and a pelican and so the people demand your immediate resignation out of disgust. Your military, being made up of locals, is disloyal, foreign relations have come to a halt at best, and the people are getting angrier. What exactly would you do in this situation?

Personally, I would just give up and concede. It's obvious my entire nation is against me and will probably kill me if given the chance so I would let the people win. But what say you NSG?

I don't know what I would be doing with this thing since as a dictator I could get any woman I like but in such a situation I would put my most loal aid in power kill them and take power.

Well first off I want to know what the scandal was. But yeah I would resign. There is no scenario where this goes well for me so I take as much stuff I can resign and flee.

First of all, what is described will be the national sport of any nation when I am in charge, only a consistent slew of poor performances will get me in trouble with "my people".

Well that and a large mandatory national aerobics program, a healthy population is a happy population, I did say mandatory, I hope.

There's literally no way to win that if the military and the entire populace isn't loyal to you and there's no foreign connections.

So unless you want to get shot in the head, you'd step down. Kind of a very simplistic scenario.

Kind of off topic but why does the corrupt nation have to be in the tropics. It seems many temperate zone people have this view that any nation located in the tropics is automatically corruption. Not nice. Is Australia corrupt since 60% of Australia is located in the tropics. Is Taiwan corrupt, the southern part of Taiwan is in the tropics. Is Singapore corrupt since they are located 100% in the tropics. Is Barbados corrupt since they are located 100% in the tropics.

Since this is a Tropico-esque scenario that is larger than life, I'd order the secret police to arrest and execute the leading cadres of the rival factions, purge the military of disloyal elements, and get my friends the USSR to intervene if necessary from their military base that I allowed them to station on the island.

Simple. I'd sign over my throne to a foreign leader and ignite my own version of the Hundred Years' War.

You spraypaint the numbers 1 to 20 on each cat. To each of these numbers you match a sex position. Then you release the pelican in an enclosed room with the 20 cats. The number of the cat who kills the pelican will indicate what position to take with the hooker.

Either fight to the death or grab as much money as I can and flee the country. I'm sure I could sweet talk the Saudis or someone like them to give me a cushy little retirement home.

The Tunisian guy did too.

I guess I'd cling to power which would result in a civil war that would rage for years until the American government has me killed, then the victorious opposition who are even worse than me would collapse into infighting and things would get so bad that slaves are sold in open markets, but the US media wouldn't cover that part.

Of they wanted to kill me, I'd kill myself, mobs don't kill painlessly.

If they wouldn't kill me, I'd take as much cash as I could, and flee to Russia.
