Indoor farming, things like vertical farming, hydroponics and so on.

Obviously, such technology isn't yet viable to replace conventional agriculture, and I'm not sure I want it to. As an additive to increase yields and better use wasted land, sure. As a replacement, too radical.

I see. Thanks. Vertical farming is okay, if done properly, I repeat my states about VAT grown meat. **VOMMITS**

Well, Daley's now in the midst of heavy damage control, now finally apologising about his statements concerning young Asian-Australians now that he's seeing trouble in his back benches: https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/my-apology-is-unqualified-remorseful-michael-daley-in-damage-control/ar-BBUZj0c?li=AAgfYrC

This comes after the retired Lee Lin Chin gave her two cents about it: https://www.msn.com/en-au/news/australia/newsreader-lee-lin-chin-fires-back-at-michael-daley-after-the-nsw-labor-leader-claimed-young-people-are-being-forced-out-of-sydney-because-asians-keep-taking-their-jobs/ar-BBUZfa5?li=AAgfYrC

Well reducing poor people to chemical stock for vat grown meat means that third world nations finally have an accessible resource to compete successfully with developed markets.

People who have been trying to either register or cast a vote online on NSW's iVote site aren't able to because the site's down:https://www.smh.com.au/nsw-election-2019/this-is-ridiculous-nsw-voters-struggle-to-lodge-early-vote-after-ivote-goes-down-20190322-p516s4.html

Tell me again how internet voting's such a good idea....

The difference is that the census is supposed to be done in a single night and the system should have been designed for that. The iVote website is designed for prepolling and has been open for two weeks. Perhaps all these people who couldn’t get on to vote shouldn’t have left it to the last minute.

I've voted. Had to do it at 8am because of other commitments so I didn't even get my democracy sausage. :(
Only 5 names on the lower house ballot in my electorate this time. Upper house is still ridiculously big though; I voted above the line for the first time every because i didn't have time to deal with it.
Had an interesting "discussion" with a liberal too. Asked him a question about school funding and he just walked off as though I wasn't there. Says a lot about the Liberals and their politics if even their staff won't promote them.

The USA election thread is more than half way to capacity, when the election isn't till next year, whilst this thread has 2 pages, and the election is today, and one of the key contributors lives at the opposite end of the country. It really speaks volumes, doesn't it?

From memory, the majority of Australians on this site aren't from NSW, so it would make sense that the this thread isn't very active.

Liberal is winning so far, but it's too early to tell. I think we might have a minority government
