is it really worth the potential risk of lasting psychological damage? Images and experiences imprinting and stuff?

I'd want it to be an experience that I'd never forget. And I don't find jellyfish frightening, I'd find it absolutely fascinating to see life on another planet; that would override fear by quite an order of magnitude. And I'm safe in the capsule thing that I am being shuttled around in.

These supernatural entities must like me. They keep offering me money to do random stuff. I see no reason not to do this one. I won't drown, and I won't be stung, and even if I somehow fail, I get a free unusual experience. I literally don't see a downside to this.

The only way I would pass is if I had reason to believe the Rich Deity was untrustworthy.

I agree with NCR here. The sea is fascinating, it's like another dimension. And jellyfish? Those things are 99% water, have no brains or eyes, glow beautiful colours, and drift blissfully. If they don't sting, they'd be wonderful to swim with.

I grew up with scuba divers, did scuba diving myself, saw a variety of deep sea documentaries. So getting an hour to enjoy myself and get paid massively for it. I don't see the problem.

If I get air, health, food, sustenance, electrical power and a proper WiFi connection, what is the exact problem here? I'll move to a famous divers spot for my social interactions. Maybe live in the Titanic during summer.

I have done some diving in the tropics. The colours on show were like nothing I have seen before or since.

Yeah, IM is literally giving me a hypothetical chance to relive an old hobby of mine for a million euro, this is simply awesome.

And it's only an old hobby because of my ears :( They hate being under pressure pushing down on them.

I had major problems with water getting into my ears and staying there for days on end, no matter what I did to try to get it out. It eventually put me off swimming in general, so now I only do it occasionally.

I couldn’t on account of the fact that I fidget far too much to much to not open my mouth in any capacity for the period of time described. Plus, being told not to open my mouth or close my eyes would tempt me to do those things even more than usual, I have little in the way of self control. I mean of course I would try, the reward is worth trying for at least, but that doesn’t mean I’m confident that I’d succeed.

Again, there's nothing brave about it. It seems like you don't understand that other people don't necessarily share your fear of jellyfish. Most of us saying that we would do this just aren't afraid of jellyfish. Nothing about this would be scary, it would be really fun. And you don't need to be brave to get paid loads of money to do something fun.

Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Sounds really cool actually. Jellyfish are fascinating creatures.

Did you know that there's a species of jellyfish that is technically biologically immortal?
When exposed to environmental stress, physical assault, age or sickness it can revert to what is, in jellyfish terms, it's baby state, eventually growing back into it's fully formed jellyfish self.

They are also one of the most successful forms of life on the planet, having been around for the overwhelming majority of multicellular life on Earth.

Jellyfish are quite fascinating, in my opinion. This whole scenario sounds like a weird dream or drug trip, but for a million I would totally do it.
