I'm shocked and outraged to hear that some of you scumbags are daring to have fun at university rather than following my virtuous example of sitting in the library alone until closing time, getting a first-class degree and then not having the social skills to ever put it to good use.

For all you young ones not yet in College, I highly recommend you join a Frat when you do get into University. Outside of the partying and drinking, the root of Greek life is very consistent with values that will serve you well in life.

Also, for those wondering, it's Day 10.

Go to a school with a Corps of Cadets instead. You get the camerderie and all but with guns and swords instead of alcohol.

Virginia Tech and Texas A&M have excellent Cadet Corps. Of course you can go all out academy instead, but I would definitely look at Virginia Tech and Texas A&M.

Plus you get a sword as senior. Swords are cool.

I haven't verified this as true yet, but an article says that one of the mosques targeted in the New Zealand attack stands on the site where a church once stood. I've accepted that the NZ Muslims have a right to be in that country if they've been there for more than a century, but I don't want to tolerate there being the expansion of mosques unless objectively speaking, that city has become more Muslim because of naturally occurring internal migration and not because of immigration from Muslim countries overseas.

To know that a church got torn down to make room for a mosque to replace it, well- this is the sort of "progress" I ardently oppose. It gets me feeling rather suspicious.

Protestantism is more or less just devolutions of Papism, granted to an unrecognizable degree. Fortunately, it seems that some of them have revoked Protestanism and made a return to the original faith as founded by the Apostles and Christ.

If the Catholicism is a heresy, what does the genuine and true faith look like? Orthodox? Or, dare I say it, Jewish?

I actually like to recruit girls I see volunteering, playing sports, or working in honors classes. They bring substantive additions to my sorority and help boost our profile on campus. Of course, I'll offer them wine or vodka from time to time too.

More rumor than anything true; one of the frats here chased a dude down that tried to rape a girl and literally curbstomped his ass. Me and dudes from like three other frats went looking for another dude on a separate occasion that tried to grab a friend of mine. In both cases the perp wasn't frat, but us frat dudes handled business.

Also I'm not sure on the whole Greek life, whenever I think of ancient Greek life in the modern world I think of unwanted homoeroticism and, dare I say it, toxic masculinity.

There's always a little good and a little bad in a culture. I wouldn't really tie modern Greek Life to Classical Greek culture, though it does draw abundant influences from the mysteries, the philosophy, and the linguistic symbolism. We often inherit just as much from medieval institutions though, and we strive in the modern context to transcend our failings and become better people through a multitude of different paths. I think a bit of toxic masculinity/femininity and some homoeroticism are going to be present in most sex-exclusive social circles. We can try to downplay the worst of it, of course, but it's presence doesn't automatically invalidate the good in our sisterhoods and brotherhoods either.

I can attest to this to an extent. I feel a lot safer around the fraternity where I'm a sweetheart or my boyfriend's fraternity than around unregulated independent parties. Of course, I don't really let me guard down completely in either of those places, especially when alcohol is involved, but I do invest some trust in guys who have been my friends for years and who I have to believe would protect me if things went south and I couldn't protect myself.
