Thank our Soviet comrades who did the heavy fighting and hard work. I am very appreciative of them. I hope to watch the victory parade later on YouTube.

I actually view Judaism as more similar to Islam, a religion which I respect while likewise believing it to be incorrect, but we're still our own thing.

Interesting. Could I just ask, in what ways is Judaism more similar to Islam than to Christianity?

Strict legalism.

Honestly that was more because the HRE at the time was a free-for-all shitshow than the Church.

You cannot, but it is certainly true the Soviets fought more and better. Still would have lost without the allies.

Yes, but that's still the USSR losing 28 million soldiers and civilians so the United States and United Kingdom didn't have to. Might as well be a little appreciative.

Metrics for determining what counts as "more" are subjective, I mean. War dead? Battles fought? Territory occupied? Which of these counts as having fought "more"? Technically any to all of them.

I'm not really a fan of applying modern political affiliations to ancient figures who wouldn't be at all familiar with them (and considering Roman politicians often 'championed' the lower classes as a means to their own power, I wouldn't really give him credit for that).

Same deal with calling Jesus or His Apostles "socialist".

Western countries also contributed a ton and lost a lot.

The Russians weren't that helpful on the Pacific front.

There were battles on the Eastern Front which were larger than the entire Western front. And the Pacific front was a sideshow.

The Pacific front was not a side show to the more than 30 million who died.
And actually Japan had a larger population than Germany and a military just as large.

Novus America represents my vision of an awesome Atompunk near future United States of America expanded to the entire North American continent, Guyana and the Philippines. The population would be around 700 million.

Fair enough I suppose, but what about "better"?
Oh, and if we go from flat dead to dead as a percentage of population, the Soviets sit behind Poland, Nauru, and Lithuania.
One part of the Soviet Union in particular did have an overwhelmingly high percentage, Belarus.
