So in what way is racism an inherent behaviour rather than a learned one?

I didn't say racism is an inherent behaviour rather then a learned one. I am just confused as to why there is an assumption that racism is something taught from a parent to child and that it is hard to believe a teen can't just pick it up on their own without their parents "teaching them racism". Especially in the modern age where Stormfront or something like that is just a few clicks away.

It's not so much that the alternative is hard to believe as that it's more likely.

There's nothing suggesting that one alternative is more likely then the other.

I'd say both methods of picking up racist shit are about equally likely. Once a kid is a teen, their parents are far from their only source of opinions, not to mention that teens are naturally contrarian to at least some of their parent's beliefs. It is therefore easy to believe that maybe they didn't pick it up from home.

It's not more likely that parent's teach their kids racist and antisemitic ideas then a teenager getting influenced by daily viewings of /pol/.

Please stop widening the goalposts set here. I'm not here to argue that kids don't pick up behaviours from people they are in constant contact with. I'm arguing that parent's aren't more likely to teach their kids racism then a kid is able to pick up racist ideology on their own accord.

I'm sure you must have heard of the internet. It's this fancy thing that lets people look up all kinds of stuff. Aside from that, peers exert great influence on each other.

When kids get to a certain point in their development, their interactions with their peers can take more precedence over those of their parents. It's certainly not unusual for teenagers to get into something because their peers might think it's a good idea-regardless of whether or not it's actually a good idea.

Not likely. Usually teenagers drop their dumb opinions as they get older.

For example, I used to hate Germans for WWII. To make matters worse, I'm of German descent. Kids are just dumb and edgy; it really is that simple.

Tfw the best the progressive media can do to argue that we're wrong about progressivism being evil and that they are right about white people being evil is film children and try to make them figures of public hate.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

It's not so much that the alternative is hard to believe as that it's more likely.

Looking-up peer teaching and how effective it is can tell you everything you need to know about how kids learn from each other. It's quite effective! Hence why the downside is that kids also learn dumb things from each other very easily.
