The fact that Ocasio-Cortez is even in American Congress demonstrates the poor quality of the American school system. Children grow up learning nothing of math, let alone statistics, economics or finance. That is true reason why leftists remain relevant in politics, in spite of many examples of the failure of their polities.

I think this women is a gift from Allah, sent to exasperate Western stupidity and decadence, bankrupt America, and secure the dominance of Islam.

The New Green Deal is quite possibly one of the absolute stupidest bills that ever could have been proposed to the United States Congress. Don’t defend it, the flaws have been pointed out hundreds of times.

She doesn’t realize, at the same time, that “healthcare for all” is a reality we will not live. Get over it. We don’t need to pay exorbitant amounts of money, money that we don’t need to spend there and could use for much better things, for something that most people won’t use and don’t need.

To paraphrase: "people don't need healthcare"

She never participated in PR politics? She came here to San Juan and bashed an pretty much bashed an independentista’s way of thinking in Bayamon’s UPR during a charla. Heck she aligned with San Juan’s mayor from time to time(who is on Sanders team on the moment) on some issues.

So she said things about Puerto Rico. Did her short stay in Puerto Rico suddenly convert her to a political culture of nepotism and corruption? Is that your argument? Or are you saying that she is corrupt because her mother is Puerto Rican?

When you said 'She comes from Puerto Rico', did you mean that she visited Puerto Rico once and talked about Puerto Rican issues? Or did you mean the heritage of her mother?

“A Green New Deal is a massive investment in renewable energy production and would not include creating new nuclear plants. It’s unclear if we will be able to decommission every nuclear plant within 10 years…”

In other words, “decommission nuclear power plants” even though they’re easily some of the best and most economical solutions for clean energy.

“Totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary, create affordable public transit available to all, with goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle.”

So, stopping air travel...for whatever reason.

“The same way we paid for the New Deal, the 2008 bank bailout and extended quantitative easing programs. The same way we paid for World War II and all our current wars. The Federal Reserve can extend credit to power these projects and investments and new public banks can be created to extend credit.
…so the question isn’t how will we pay for it, but what will we do with our new shared prosperity.”

In other words, “don’t worry about paying for it, we’ll do it...somehow. because that’s just how things work!”.

“Ensure that all GND jobs are union jobs that pay prevailing wages and hire local
Guarantee a job with family-sustaining wages
Protect right of all workers to unionize and organize
Strengthen and enforce labor, workplace health and safety”

Forcing people to have Union jobs to make a sustainable amount of money. Nice.

“Massive federal investments and assistance to organizations and businesses participating in the green new deal and ensuring the public gets a return on that investment”

So, “do our stupid thing, we give you money”.

Yeah, she’s so smart and amazing and the Green New Deal is such a great and well designed concept.

Honestly, please examine the bills you support.

Socialism in general polls at 37% while Capitalism polls at 56% and Fascism at 9%.

This is before most people even know what market socialism is.

I wonder if Fascism would poll better if more people know it isn't just "authoritarian bigoted ultranationalism" or "ethno-socialism"(although some forms are authoritarian ethno-socialist ultranationalism; this is basically Ba'athism, Gaddafism, and Strasserism)

And I agree with the idea of the GND, but I still would support carbon capture and other market based solutions. Otherwise it would possibly bankrupt us.

Maybe you don’t realize but we puertoricans are a very proud people. El boricua is a sentimentality that reverberates among us most. We don’t tend to even call ourselves American but puertorriqueños and drag the flag everywhere we go. And that’s the type of reasoning we have with Ms. Alexia. She represents us wether she likes it or not.
