They've done superbly. I hope they win it.
The match between Man City and Spurs was one of the more exciting I've seen this season, too. The Champions League has been great this year.

A Tottenham - Ajax game is going to be great, pity it's not the final. Maybe I'll just decide it's the final and not watch anything after.

Funny story.

Away camping in a place where the only guys with phone signal were the ones in mini busses picking us up. The driver is from Liverpool.

He tells the mancs I’m camping with that Everton beat Manchester United 4 nill. Everyone thought he was taking the mick until he shown his phone and they were all devastated. :p

I'll be pulling for them to win the Champions League. Especially since they kicked out Real Madrid and Juventus.

It's sad for us (Celtic) at the moment with all our greatest heroes of all time/greatest generation/Lisbon Lions dying. RIP Chalmers.

I'm going to my first ever professional soccer game in July...at Fenway Park! The match is Liverpool FC vs. Sevilla FC. Quite frankly, I had no idea who I would root for until I found out that John Henry (the owner of the Boston Red Sox) also owns Liverpool, so my sister is sending me a Liverpool shirt from London. they split the park into three sections of seating with the "neutral" seating (the section I ended up getting tickets in) in between the two club specific seating, is this to keep the opposing fans away from each other? It should be a blast regardless!

It's almost the end of the season for a lot of us, most of the silverware is about to be handed out. Dutch cup final is tomorrow, Ajax can win their first prize in a few years, while they are still in three competitions.

Two European clubs playing in the US, I'm going to assume it's a friendly (seeing as it's in July). I have a feeling that all three sections are going to be full of neutral fans, but that doesn't mean the match is any worse. Have fun!

I just don't see it.

Ajax has just won the cup final with 4 -0 against Willem II.

Buffon is looking so stiff at times, Neuer is slowing down, Čech is retiring this year. It's a sad year for goalkeepers. Make way for Courtois, Donnarumma, et al.

Ajax gets its first piece of silverware in 5 years! And then they're still competing for two more prizes, only one of two teams that could win the treble (domestic league, domestic cup, Champions' League). Basically, I'm going to be hyped for the rest of this month.

England's 3rd-to-6th teams keep dropping points to the point that Manchester United won't make the CL at all next year. The title race over there is probably more interesting at this point, it's a bit disheartening seeing Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and United lose when there's so much to gain...

Any other countries outside of Europe's top 5 (or so) that are interesting to keep track of for the rest of the season?

There's not just the top flight, though. Paris FC should have qualification to the Ligue 1 promotion playoff sealed, which could result in an uninteresting, one-sided Parisian derby in Ligue 1 next season.

One of the first teams in the Football League, Notts County, are being relegated to the Conference National.

Portugal is pretty close with just 2 points separating Porto and Benfica with 2 matches to go.

Tottenham have had some incredible luck lately, they seriously lucked through the QF, they've been lucky Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal can't seem to win a game.. so I wouldn't count them out being ridiculously lucky in the SF although I suspect they're simply tired as hell and have too many injuries.

A Barca-Ajax final would be nice but I also wouldn't count out Liverpool eve though they're 3-0 down in the first leg, something about Liverpool in the CL..

Spurs to do Ajax and then run out of luck against Everton. Lose 0-6. Arsenal get knocked out of Europa league but win 0-3.

Because that's how luck works.

Seriously, though, can someone explain to me how Blue City vs Blue City happens tonight whereas Chelsea and Arsenal both had to play last night (timezones are confusing) despite playing more recently than either City?

English clubs' exciting race not to finish in the top 4 continues. I forget why we're doing this, but presumably one of those twenty boring interchangeable "Player of the Year" awards was held on top of a burial ground and the top clubs will now be cursed.

Don't remind me of Wednesday just yet, I'm getting nervous just thinking of the semifinal

I don't really get you, Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea all played on the 24th, 28th, and now the London clubs played on the 5th while Man City plays on the 6th? Luck of the draw, I suppose?
