On the n word

I decided we might want to talk about a prevalent subject: the n word.
People have differing opinions. Some think saying the n word is fine, a few think it should be banned. It is included in America's freedom of speech, but it can be regarded as hate speech. Should it be legal? Should there be government given n word passes? How much should the government discourage saying it?
I believe it should be legal but people shouldn't say it. What does NSG have to say about this?
Please don't say the n word here.

On the serious topic, some meant it casually, but I know for a fact that they used to say it as discrimination (I mean, some people still do), but nowadays, it's (mostly) just the matter of talking to friends. "N***, please!"
Probably not banned, but if used as derogatory, then it's no-go, Joe.

I disapprove of people saying it, but I don't think the government should ban it. If African-Americans want the word to go away, then they should stop using the word to refer to themselves to be honest.

Seriously though, should there be conditions that apply to determine whether it's fine or not? Some old books have it, but so do newer stupid things.

No. Getting imprisoned or fined for saying a damn word is insane and should be met with armed resistance.

The idea of 'hate speech' is ridiculous. Freedom of speech for all, then there is no bias or discrimination.

Rudeness cannot be stopped by Big Govt Program, which will be so rubbery and elastic that it eats innocents AND doing nothing to solve the problem in the first place, rudeness.
People can also, you know, make new words. It'll be interesting when pricks started calling everyone darker than my wardrobe "vanta" or "melanine hyperfficients"
