I kind of feel sorry for her. She has been negotiating a deal for two and a half years only to be defeated by a 230 majority.She has been attacked by the EU on one side and Parliament on the other and she didn't even vote for all this in the first place.

No, but she agreed to try and pick up the pieces.

And she called an unnecessary general election that destroyed her majority.

And she triggered Article 50 before she needed to.

My sympathy towards May extends as far as recognising that any Prime Minister would have struggled in the present circumstances; but if she didn't make her own bed, she certainly feathered it.

I agree that the general election was unnecessary but she hasn't Just been negotiating with the EU she's essentially negotiating with the ERG,Labour and Pro second referendum Tory Mps .Theresa May was supposed to negotiate for Britain but ended up negotiating with Britain.

Reading these last few pages has been wild, man. The vibe I'm getting is that Westminster is on the verge of political implosion.

I really don't know why he EU is still wasting time in talks with this British cabinet. It's totally useless, and the whole Brexit affair has turned from ludicrous to just time-wasting.
Britain's cabinet de facto lacks parliamentary confidence, so let's go on as agreed. No deal by March 29th means no-deal Brexit.

Would it? I'm not in favour of it but the apocalyptic rhetoric on both sides is grinding. Young people (pretty much the only demographic that carry out political violence/revolutions) are mostly Remainers; more importantly, everyone is apathetic about politics in general nowadays, and more and more people about this issue in particular. I can see cancelling Brexit having a poisonous effect on representative democracy and washing away what little public trust in politicians still remains, but I don't see that manifesting in anything our political system isn't strong enough to weather, which is... depressing.

If the UK stays in the EU at the end of this kerfuffle, I don't expect their status to be as secure. Not even to mention that it would render the past few years a hilarious waste of time.
