If you're speaking OOC'ly, the UK is a democracy, and many of us prefer it to the alternatives. Though you don't have to vote.

If you're speaking IC'ly, NSG is an OOC forum. There are other forums to talk about your country. They can be found here.

In NS, I'm a super-religious crusading state with a belief in the 'tyrant,' an evil spirit which infests the minds of humans and tries to make all the world slaves; the unending war must therefore be fought against him, so that freedom under God must prevail.

Since this is NSG though, I'm a Brexit-supporting vaguely left-leaning libertarian pacefist law student, nsg is entirely out of character.

Although, I am not going to be able to vote as I thought I'd be in Manchester, registered there, and am in fact 200 miles away in Scotland tomorrow.

Hoping Alliance can grab the third MEP seat here in NI.

Though whether that seat exists for any longer than a few months depends on how that shitstorm in parliament goes.

Might vote for Brex since they are the only anti-feminist party with a chance, under the principle of political wrecking maneuvers. I supported Trump for similar reasons. If he wanted to drop a nuke on london, but was the only anti-feminist candidate, i'd give him my support. That'll continue to be the case until the problem is redressed, much like minorities rioting and, in essence, burning down their own communities to protest things.

Aiming to make society unpleasant and ungovernable to protest something seems effective, and if you can convince a committed minority to do it, you can swing elections.

The point is to emphasize that society will not be pleasant until our demands are met, and the policies you seek to govern by cause social disorder and decline.

This is one of the only legal means available of behaving that way, a ballot box riot.

More broadly, BREX is a backlash against both the neoliberal and the progressive agenda, and handing them another defeat is a good thing. The cries about how it's self-harm miss the point.

We're going to do something that damages everyone until you get it into your heads that even the positive aspects of your ideology?

We're willing to tear those down first to get rid of you. We hate you that much. Like when dealing with Imperialists who just refused to take on board criticism or tolerate alternatives because obviously Empire is magical and desirable, and so you go, "Fine, we'll set fire to the trains and burn down the docks." and they scream and go hysterical over trade with the empire and the benefits it brings the locals.

Right.

And we don't care. Get lost. Go away. Everything about what you bring to the table? We're willing to sacrifice it.

Even though you aren't the only possible sources of it and others without your massive downsides exist, that's still the case.

There's a joke in Ireland I think (maybe it was Serbia or something). A local asks a foreigner, "are you a Catholic or Protestant?" To which the foreigner responds "I'm an atheist." The local then asks "Yes, but are you a Catholic atheist or a Protestant atheist?"

Doesn't much matter in terms of legitimizing the discourse and making it clear the constituency exists, as well as emphasizing just how lopsided, biased, and toxic our media is on the matter given how badly it has been infiltrated and overrun. He'll certainly prevent further destruction of society by feminist proposals.

"Ungovernable" has a long history of being a viable means of protesting an oppressive power. You cannot compel people to operate in good faith in your society if they decide you are their enemy and have no intention of being otherwise.

In the past, people picked up a rifle and just took to destroying the infrastructure and so on directly.

Voting for austerity types is probably more devestating in the mid to long term, it's also legal, so there we go.

Women support feminism because they profit from it. Making it clear that society in general will crumble if they continue to do so is one means to force them to stop. Same as oppressive regimes in general.

I agree some extreme feminists can be pretty bad, but why not just vote for reasonable moderate feminists, as opposed to absolute nutjobs who oppose feminism? Why not vote for the Tories or Change UK?

It's a strike against the general progressive movement, which includes feminism. I'm not just talking about the EU parliament either. BREX is set to win the welsh assembly elections too, and take most of the MPS here.
