Maybe first have a referendum on whether that referendum about having a referendum will be binding or advisory.

But they can never be binding, UK no work that way.

Did you have a referendum about that?

Momentum fined for multiple breaches of electoral law. Though £17,000 doesn't seem much, apparently it is the largest ever for something that isn't (supposedly) a political party.

Personally I think it would be cheaper for the government to buy enough free alcohol to get the entire nation drunk and then quietly cancel Brexit in the morning when people are too hungover to object and then we just never speak of it again.

Like a bad date.

Labour MP Jess Phillips tells Theresa May and Phillip Hammond to 'f*** your little extras' as son's school prepares to close early on Fridays to save cash

A Labour MP has launched an expletive-laden rant towards Theresa May and Philip Hammond after her son’s school said it was planning to close early on Fridays to save cash.

Jess Phillips told the Prime Minister and Chancellor to “f*** your little extras” after receiving an email from the school detailing the plans.

Her remark referenced Mr Hammond’s comments in last year’s Budget, in which he announced a one-off payment of £400 million to English schools to “buy the little extras they need”. The comment was labelled “patronising” by furious school funding campaigners.

Ms Phillips, the MP for Birmingham Yardley, tweeted a screenshot of an email from her son’s school reading: “We are proposing to close early to pupils on Fridays (1pm), with effect from September 2019.

Wonder what will get the bigger outrage - the unparliamentary language, or the fact that she exposed the Conservatives to the reality that their bullshit is having consequences?

No-deal Brexit would plunge UK economy into recession – OECD

But since they're people who actually know what they're talking about, everything they say must be lies because reasons.

Ah, but don't you see that's this is the wrong kind of no deal? That's not a "managed no deal", in which lots of small agreements (DEFINITELY NOT DEALS) are done on specific issues and the necessary readjustment in infrastructure and procedures all happen within a couple of weeks because the ERG haven't selfishly been complicit in May's running down of the clock to avoid an election but have actually been busy assembling an elite team of wizards.

I never considered the British a deeply religious people.

But apparently, for Lent, they are giving up the ability to live and work in 27 different countries.

If New Britain is going to revive religiosity I want full puritanism. Any post-Brexit slump is an opportunity to practice austere and moral living. Cancel Easter. Cancel Christmas. Cancel the Monarchy. Cancel Parliament and replace it with an assembly of godly men.
