An age-check scheme designed to stop under-18s viewing pornographic websites has been delayed a second time.

The changes - which mean UK internet users may have to prove their age - were due to start on 15 July after already being delayed from April 2018.

The culture secretary confirmed the postponement saying the government had failed to tell European regulators about the plan.

Completing the notification process could take up to six months.

The thing is though, if we properly fund and support our justice system, making sure we have a well-funded CPS and legal aid programme, as well as reducing the pile them high and make it cheap mentality in our magistrates courts? That's a considerably easier first step.

Shouldn’t that mean we start the policies that deal with social inequality, that take time, before dealing with something that is dependant on those social policies?

They both need fixing. This however is the chronicly underfunded area of the country that is falling apart, and nobody is talking about it.
