They were hardly any good either mate.

"NHS = Gestapo" is pretty out there in terms of ridiculous right wing scaremongering and a lack of faith in the British electorate to see through it. What changed is that people stopped seeing through that shit as it became a constant 24/7 cycle of insane pandering low-effort nonsense, instead of you and your mates having 23 hours access to sane conversation with fellow citizens, bringing the "ITS THE GESTAPO!" comments into stark contrast and making people realize what a twat churchhill is, even in Conservative circles.

But with 24/7 news cycle, you hear over and over again from hundreds of different personalities that the NHS is the gestapo. They get experts on to tell you it is, and so on, and so on, until eventually over half your discussion of politics and exposure to it comes from crap sources with shit for brains. (Establishment politicians who have a vested interested in not understanding how they are failing.).

We could fix it by doing something like a permanent conclave.
You get elected and locked in a building until certain hours of the day because if we let you out, society will collapse, dogs and cats living together, and so on.

Not terribly surprising given that he performed terribly in the televised debate based on what I've heard. I'm glad he's gone anyway.

TV debates I find to be a waste.
I'm more surprised that he went out and yet Javid made it through. He represented certain angles the others didn't which I though would have made him stand out a little over the rest who all circle the "grey" areas, apart from Stewart and Johnson.
I don't see his votes going to Stewart and will likely be shared out amongst the others who I'd imagine are too proud to bow out in favour of a collaborative effort to host an opponent to Boris' numbers.
