Studies including UK studies showing parents spend longer teaching girls than they do boys, including Twin studies.

They spend longer reading to them, teaching them language, teaching them concepts, and so on.

Researchers were at a loss to explain why and suggested its simply because Girls are innately more interested in those things.

I guess I wouldn't want feminists burning a giant wooden bra on my lawn for suggesting widespread cultural misandry either.

Incidentally, the one subject they spend equal time teaching their boys? Math.

You are now invited to consider what impact all the feminist screaming about STEM and badgering people to raise their girls to be ready for it is going to cause.

Further studies also showed that parents talk to their girls in more complex terms and in language more suited for schooling, and that this starts very young, before the girls understand the words and have to have them explained to them. Explanations the boys aren't given, because the words aren't used.

Notably, Mothers talked to their sons in passive language and to their girls in language communicating emotional states and relationships.
Example;
"Stop doing that."
V
"Stop doing that, because it upsets me."

Emotional intelligence and so on are a predictor of success in school too.

Fathers talked to their daughters in analytical terms communicating complexity and to their boys in absolute terms.
"What color is the banana?"
"Mostly yellow, with some black spots."
V
"It's yellow.".

Research also showed expectant parents want girls more than boys.

Our culture has become ill from allowing feminists to dominate it. As they enforce their demands to make reality reflect their own internal minds, we are seeing how their minds work. This is the women are wonderful effect in full swing, the consequence of allowing people with large in group bias to define what equal treatment is. These are things you cannot blame on patriarchy and history either.

All of these studies are available upon request, and far more. I'm studying childhood development a bit atm.

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

17 councils in, no changes in control, but gains for the Lib Dems, Greens, and Independents, and losses for Labour, UKIP, and the Tories. I'm guessing this trend will continue.

Labour -26

Oh dear, seems like Labour is heading for some quite punishing losses.

Our first council has changed hands, with Hartlepool switching from Labour to No Overall Control thanks to Independents gaining 4 and UKIP gaining 1 from Labour. Indpendents are the big winners so far, with 20 seats gained.

The UK Treasury has reprieved 1p and 2p coins, saying they will continue to be used "for years to come".

What is there to leak? The locations of UK coastal patrol RHIB boats?

The UK should behave like a country of comparable military power. Nobody would have their head falling off in the Colombian or Greek governments over something as silly as this.

Leaking what goes on in the National Security Council is not trivial.

In Greece it would be, so why not Britain.

The funny (soul-destroying) thing is... I can't imagine any changes being made to and by either Labour or the Conservatives even if they both do catastrophically badly. May can't go, Corbyn won't, both sides in both parties are going to blame the other. We are stuck in a time loop and nothing is going to change based on anything

Vote Green/Brexit, I guess?

The Conservatives have finally scored a small victory, winning Walsall from NOC, although it's cold comfort as large losses of councillors to Lib Dems and Independents continue.

EDIT: And now it's been negated by them losing St Albans to NOC.
EDIT EDIT: And now they've also lost Peterborough to NOC.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: And now they've lost Southend to NOC. You may be noticing a pattern here.

I think they should really consider cancelling elections in the UK until the public promises to take things seriously.

I think the public has took it seriously, and it’s majorly pissed off with the Conservatives & Labour and is sending them a message to just sort themselves out.

Our electoral system is not truly screwed until either Nigel Farage or Boris Johnson changes their name by deed-poll to "Votey McVoteface", when -- such is the boat's name missed -- I'm terrified to say they might well win by landslide.
