When and how did you find NationStates?

I was googling someone's name to find information about them.
Included in the search results where the name was found was that name on someone's roster in NS Sports. When looking into it, I forgot about what I was actually looking for and fell in love with the concept of NS Sports.

I was on and off again for a little while. Been through two nations that I can recall that I ended up forgetting about and letting die. Couldn't tell you when. It's only this one that I've really kept it going.
Think I was just on a Nation simulator kick for a while and came across this via google.

Really brings back old memories, eh?
At first, around the time of my first years at junior high school/middle school (probably around 2014-2015) I was fascinated with the concept of Hetalia, after being introduced to that anime by my sister since I find it unique. I read the characters' wiki, and sometimes comparing them with my limited knowledge of the real world countries and also, the wikipedia articles. Then at one point I came across micronations, and I was interested in them because that's the first time I knew the real world example of nations that don't get diplomatic recognition from the other countries. I read through the articles, again, and then I find that people are making micronations at internet. 'What a cool idea....', I thought, and then I'm googling for how to make a micronation, and that's how I find NS.

To be honestly I stumbled upon it googling stuff for the "Rise of Nations" videogame.

Back in 2014 I had a constructed language in mind, and I thought "why not make it into something useful?"
Meanwhile in 2015 or 16 I remembered reading an article on "how to create your own country", so I thought of giving a country to my language.

In 2017 I wanted to visit that article again so I searched "create your own country", but I didn't find that article, but instead came across NS. The first two months was just answering issues, and not even writing factbooks, while later I came to the forum, only to find that factbooks are a must-have for any nation. So I rushed my basic information factbooks, while fully expanding on a language textbook.

I used to be a regular on a forum called The Pack. It was connected to a werewolf movie in production and one of the others got a bunch of us to come over with him and form the region called “The Pack.”
Well, participation dropped off, the region died, and I kept going because I was having a blast here.
