Wrong again they were all new hires, Amazon also committed to pipeline projects with the local hs, and LaGuardia community college. LIC is already gentrified, And what is in greenpoint is either early hipster or mostly abandoned industrial that needs serious remediation before it can be even considered cor brownfield developement which will take a boatload of private money to do.

Not at all. I doubt Amazon would put forward the proposal with the intention of withdrawing it at a later date, as the planning for it has likely cost them a considerable amount of money already. What would be the point?
