Let me repost my opinion:

I believe LGBT education is important. I do not believe there should be an entire class dedicated to it.

It's like Black History month, they'll teach some LGBT stuff in history class then be on their way.

You're talking to someone who was in a 98% white school and I'm still young enough to be a millennial. In Norfolk UK there'd be more chance of a Portuguese or Polish history month. Now that I think about it, it would be good if Polish pilots had more recognition in WW2 classes.

We received an apology from the district and the teacher. Nothing more was done, although I assume if the teacher does something like that again they will be fired
