Conservatives can’t agree if blackface is always racist

With Virginia Democrats caught up in scandal, from state reps to the governor, Vox is here to remind us conservatives are definitely at fault here

Because if a democrat should immediately resign for being accused of sexual assault than so should a republican.

It's been festering for decades.

Now we have the Republican Senate Majority leader who was the editor of a yearbook with a couple black face pictures. His argument? I'm not in them nor did I take them.

But we would just get a dysfunctional mess.
Plus we would just re-elect all the same ass holes.

The problem is not the political system, it is us the voters blindly choosing horrible candidates because the two parties tell us too, and re electing idiots from the same corrupt parties.

Our politicians suck, but they do represent us.
What does that say about us as voters?

Fixing the political system does nothing unless we first fix our heads as a people.

Since Virginia's Democrats are not about to give up the executive mansion, looks like they'll have an ex-blackface governor.

Blame metoo movement for this. This is looking more and more like a smear campaign. Just an attempt to force Democrats out since Republicans cant win the state anymore.

Plus the key voting blocs in Virginia seem to be standing with the governor and attorney general. If they vote in November democrats will gain the legislature

Well considering Democrats attempted to use #metoo for political gain, no surprise Republicans would too.

Neither of them should. METOO needs to fade away. There is no justification for this, it is an assault on democracy.

I wouldn’t say it should fade away but this whole thing started because some on the right didn’t like comments northam made on abortion nor should we drege up allegations from years ago to use as weapon

If Fairfax were Republican there would be no calls for him to step down

Even the site who leaked the pictures said that. I knew it was an attack over the abortion law. The metoo movement however has gone from something valid into a blind witch hunt. It's not just here, it happens to others as well.

You have as much evidence of the intent Lt. governor's accusers as people on the other side has for Trump and Kavanugh's .

Not really. Correlation /=/ causation and all jazz. Especially when causation means a very specific conspiracy theory(Not that it's necessarily incorrect, just unproven) when just really didn't like hearing he could be governor.
