Just so y’all know there have been three newly reported cases of childhood measles in Atlanta. This isn’t good at all as most of the measles outbreaks have been in the northwest near Seattle.

We need to stop pissing around and crackdown hard

Thinking vaccines cause autism is an idiotic way of thinking. I agree with the WHO here; anti-vaxxers are causing a problem.
The South Falls wrote:Anti-Vaxxers are a massive health threat. This thread is just preaching to the choir. Time to institute mandatory vaccinations to protect the rest of us.

I never thought I'd agree with making it mandatory, but we might have to that with our current situation.

I have generally favored a religious exemption. But If too many people use said exemption I am afraid we must remove it.

Agreed. Religion is a ridiculous reason to deny something that has been scientifically proven to prevent disease anyway.

I was willing to allow it so long as the religious exemptions were few enough not to endanger herd immunity but this is getting crazy.

Education does not typically share the same kind of physicality that a package has, however.

But, you did receive it. It literally arrived to your doorstep/mailbox. Receive and accept aren't synonyms.

the easiest way to cure anti-vaxx paranoia is to have the government arrest them and forcibly inject fluids into their bodies.

Many here advocate for mandatory vaccinations. The only way to actually enforce that is to forcibly vaccinate people who don't wanna be vaccinated.

Um, no. The way mandatory vaccinations actually work is that if your kid doesn't get vaccinated, they're not allowed to go to school. Conceivably, we could also start handing out fines as well.

seriously the people that have never even had the chance of being vaccinated would be a larger percentage of the population than the anti vaxxers.

Who knows this might be the first time NSG agrees on something without causing a debate though I may be wrong.

But I'm glad the people in this thread have common sense when it comes to vaccines being important to the entire human population.
