There shouldn't be any. Being pro-Palestine in any capacity should be grounds enough to eject someone from any political office in the country, as it is by its very nature treason against the nation in general.

Technically, they're all pro-Israel in some capacity, the Basic Law requires all parties, including the Arab/Palestinian ones in the Knesset, to swear an oath that Israel has a right to exist before they can even stand for election.

I don't think that's really a Kahanist argument. Beyond that, do we really want to dilute the influence of the Arab List any further?

Not having a party that actively promotes Palestinian interests over Israeli interests isn't the same as wanting to reduce the Arab Israelis to untermenschen.
"Then it was as if all the beauty of Ardha, devastating in its color and form and movement, recalled to him, more and more, the First Music, though reflected dimly. Thus Alnair wept bitterly, lamenting the notes which had begun to fade from his memory. He, who had composed the world's first poem upon spying a gazelle and who had played the world's first song upon encountering a dove perched upon a moringa, in beauty, now found only suffering and longing. Such it must be for all among the djinn, souls of flame and ash slowly dwindling to cinders in the elder days of the world."

Well, the 15 justices aren't political appointees strictly speaking. The President appoints them with the advice and consent of the Judicial Selection Committee, which consists of nine people: Three current justices including the Court President, two government ministers including the Justice Minister, two backbench MKs, and two Israeli Bar Association representatives. It takes a supermajority of seven to confirm a justice. With so many different groups needing to be placated, it reduces the likelihood of purely political appointments.

Oh I see: it's done differently there. Not sure how effective the system has been but I would imagine it's working good there so far. If only the US put more consideration to such a system...

But in any case, Bibi is probably fucked then.

Happy new year! Have updated the poll, the OP, and the title.

Here's hoping I don't have to update the title to '2021 Israeli Election' this time next year.

Bibi's addressed the nation today and has announced that he's going to ask the Knesset's House Committee, which currently doesn't exist to grant him immunity from his corruption charges: https://www.yahoo.com/news/israel-pm-seeks-immunity-buying-181758794.html

Gantz has said he'll work with Likud to form an emergency House Committee to discuss the issue as is required by the Basic Law.

Next year we can be talking about the 20th election since the one we first started discussing.

I do not TBH.
The election is not about foreign policies.

Nor would them being elected change the fundamental problems that make peace unlikely.

However this is something quite funny. The western chattering classes care far more about the Israeli Palestinian conflict and the naive idea of making some sort of perpetual peace or final resolution than the Israelis themselves do.

No matter who wins the status quo on the policy towards the Palestinian Arabs is unlikely to change.
You probably care more about it then they do.

I know that Israel's center-left isn't great on Palestinian rights, but Netenyahu is outright bloodthirsty.

So according to NPR right now Netanyahu shilled for his own immunity on TV promising amongst other things waiting for permission from the U.S. (presumably under a continued Trump administration) to annex land from the West Bank.

Remind me why Kahane Chai was outlawed in the first place, because increasing the size of Israel and driving out Palestinians was their pet project.

Israel's center-left's domestic policy on Palestine has been making them lose support, especially their Labor Party.

Kach advocated taking away the citizenship of all Israeli Arabs, the forcible deportation of all Israeli Arabs or Palestinians who didn't accept this non-citizen status, and outlawing marriages between Jews and non-Jews.

There are many, many parties in Israel's history that have advocated annexing at least some of the West Bank. Plus Menachem Begin annexed East Jerusalem in 1980.

Really, we've known about Israel's nuclear programme since Mordechai Vanunu leaked it in 1986 and got thrown in prison, and politicians have repeatedly mentioned it accidentally since then.
