After watching as mich of a full video as possible, I really think this was just a cavalcade of dumbassery on everyone's side.

For what its worth, I don't think Phillips was actually trying to get into any sort of actual confrontation with that specific kid but rather make a statement of some sort by marching through the crowd, that specific kid took it upon himself to be the dumbass stalward wall against what he (wrongly) assumed was someone there to protest their march, the black Israelites were fucking dicks who should have been ignored.

Meanwhile, the idiotic chaperones decided "Hey, let's escalate the damn situation by riling our students up, having them do a bog ole chant at everyone and everything, not do anything to calm the situation, and let one of our students do a mock hakka half naked in public, for reasons."

The kid was a dumbass for assuming too much, Phillips was a dumbass for trying to disperse a situation he was not involved in, the parents are dumbasses for doing jackall to de-escalate the situation and actually encouraged an escalation, and the Black Israelite suck.

As I figured earlier, everyone was looking for a confrontation, and lo-and-behold they got one.

This is likely a particularly tone deaf school who lack any sort of common sense or self reflection, on top of the ragher vile culture and tribalism surrounding sports in general.

In my opinion the kids didn't do anything wrong, in fact, Nathan Phillips was the aggressor here. Clearly, in the footage beforehand, we can see Nathan Phillips approaching Nick Sandmann, not the other way around. There was no harassment, simply an old man banging a ceremonial drum loudly in a calm spectator's ear. I think it's disgusting that the school is actually considering punishing the children, and that people are sending death threats to kids that were, in my opinion, just being kids. They didn't harass anyone, the only ones who did harassing were the Indigenous People. One was even shouting "White people go back to Europe where you came from," and I don't want to go off on a tangent here, but without white people, you wouldn't have modern society as you know it. Am I commending or supporting the things white settlers did? Absolutely not. I think they were horrendous. But to claim white people should go back to Europe? We're Americans. We were born here and we'll stay here, whether some people want us to or not. That is the definition of racism. If this is a reflection of America politically, I'm extremely ashamed of this level of ignorance in our society.
