EDIT: I keep rewatching the clip and listening to them but her story does not add up, she says the interaction was them walking by and they started randomly shouting MAGA at her? Her profile say that she is from CT and from looking at her previous posts and wallpaper she was in DC probably for a political reason due to it being the March for Life and there was most likely an interaction before the video was played where politics was mentioned. Pretty weird to just start yelling MAGA at a girl as a form of harassment or taunt. Probably some small political exchange occurred and when she walked away they shouted out MAGA.

After watching as mich of a full video as possible, I really think this was just a cavalcade of dumbassery on everyone's side.

For what its worth, I don't think Phillips was actually trying to get into any sort of actual confrontation with that specific kid but rather make a statement of some sort by marching through the crowd, that specific kid took it upon himself to be the dumbass stalward wall against what he (wrongly) assumed was someone there to protest their march, the black Israelites were fucking dicks who should have been ignored.

Meanwhile, the idiotic chaperones decided "Hey, let's escalate the damn situation by riling our students up, having them do a bog ole chant at everyone and everything, not do anything to calm the situation, and let one of our students do a mock hakka half naked in public, for reasons."

The kid was a dumbass for assuming too much, Phillips was a dumbass for trying to disperse a situation he was not involved in, the parents are dumbasses for doing jackall to de-escalate the situation and actually encouraged an escalation, and the Black Israelite suck.

To be honest I'm more pissed about the mob mentality against the kids and the fact they are being held to a higher standard than the adults because of their politics. This becoming national news also makes my blood boil because this for a fact is so freakin stupid and shows the irresponsibility of media to just start the attack immediately. To be honest the blame probably lies more with social media than the traditional media but the traditional media took it up and ran with it without checking it thoroughly enough.

I went through and looked at the accuser's Twitter account she is a big time liberal who was in DC for the Women's March. That in of itself is perfectly fine, nothing wrong there, what does raise a red flag is that she says that the kids on the bench started yelling political slogans at her but states that she and her friend said nothing to them. Okay the reason that is a red flag to me is that
A. She is overtly political and her Twitter history shows that she holds contempt for those who would be considered mainstream right
B. She was wearing no particular political paraphernalia in the video while the boys are wearing Trump hats
C. Teenage boys resort to shouting "MAGA" instead of catcalling?

What probably happened is she remarked on their hats in some manner and that prompted the reaction. If it was normal catcalling I would probably believe her but yelling political slogans does not make much sense to me. The other situation could have been they started with catcalling, she remarked about their hats, fill in the rest. The reason I do not believe the other situation occurred is because that would have fit better with her narrative than what she provided.

Agree with everything but the bolded part. If Phillips truly believed people were being attacked (as he claims in the first story), then he's completely justified in getting involved. Now, you can definitely argue whether he's being completely truthful or not, but we shouldn't be encouraging the Bystander Effect.

The school has been plagued with racial problems. I mean, you saw the teachers and the students and you'll see the disturbing (if we want to call it like that considering the school is the closest thing to a "white-only" school) amounts of Caucasians as both teachers and students. There are minorities, but racial problem affected them as well.
