Surely this has nothing to do with the shutdown. The TSA is totally right that there have been times where more people have called in sick and whatnot. Actually I’m pretty sure it is unrelated. That happens all the time at the ATL airport, mainly because it’s legal to bring a gun into the non Secure areas of the airport.
