Maybe they'll have a copy of Aristotle's Poetics with the second book on comedy included.

I am not classically educated and don't know his works (other than certain themes commonly associated with him as applied in philosophy and narrative).

Is that the one that the crazy blind Venerable Jorgy (sic?) was trying to kill people with in that film adaptation of Ecco's "Name of the Rose"?

Or am I thinking of a thing that's not real again...

Nope, that's the one, you got it right.

I'd not heard of that one and now I'm really disappointed I have.

Another film that could have been, probably fairly well know, would be Alejandro Jodorowsky's attempt to adapt Dune into a film. Whether or not that would have been good who know's since it never even left preproduction.

I had not previously known that was a real thing.

Is it comedy or tragedy for Venerable Jorgy (sic?, fictional person) that in so murderously wanting to keep the book from people in his twisted service to his own humorless vision of God, he brought Sean Connery and that kid from Heathers to come and bring the entire thing to an infernal conclusion, thus creating a narrative with a moderately successful film adaptation, introducing me to the idea of the lost 2nd Poetics of Aristotle, and eventually now to you revealing to me it once having really existed, and thus drawing attention to it across time and space despite that being the EXACT OPPOSITE of Jorgy's goal?

I think both. I dunno.

I'd give it the benefit of the doubt and put it on my aleph(sub 4) play list.

Boss is away until next week. Means I can openly watch YouTube while working instead of hiding it in a corner of my desktop.

It's actually helping my productivity, surprisingly enough, if I'm able to take small 5-10 minute breaks in between long stretches of intense work.

Same. It's a forum, so it's not a problem, since much of my job involves looking up stuff on the internet anyway.

Hunchback is #1 for me, but then it gets a little iffy. The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, and Lilo & Stitch are all solid picks, I think.

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, followed closely behind by Alice in Wonderland and The Great Mouse Detective.

The Great Mouse Detective?

I had the VHS of it until I finally decided to dispose of ‘em a coupla years ago.

Yes and then they accidentally say the work thing on NSG and the NSG thing in the meeting.

You people are barbarian's.

How can nobody mention fantasia? It was fucking fabulous,
giving that kind of range artistic expression for a commercial release?? . For God's sake It has the music of LEOPOLD

New school: the aristocats, cause everybody wants to be a cat, a close second would be jungle book, cause louie prima. A special shout out to song of the south, cause I miss that kinda casual racism in my day to day entertainment.

Oh you mean, new new school: lilo and stitch. Hands down. The soft style choices are amazing. Also first time the voice actress in the lead, real life is prettier than the animated version. And of course ELvis..

A memory came back to me.

I was sitting in a high school classroom. We were reading Macbeth. The teacher was leading some class discussion; she asked if anyone sympathised with the decision to murder the king to become the king.

One student said:

S: "Not really."

Teacher: "Why not?"

S: "Because what he did. It's not really Righteous."

Not usually. I work more with terminating CAT cables and Network IA and security.

But desperate times call for desperate measures and I had to whip out the dusty kit we had.
