Being strong and fast is different from being bulletproof. Being punched, even by Superman, is different from being shot.

You seem to have no difficulty accepting that Captain America and Black Panther have superhuman abilities but still need a shield and armour to defend against bullets. What's so ridiculous about Wonder Woman likewise being superhuman but not bulletproof?

It still makes no sense that she has to try to block the bullets with the steel though because isn’t she bulletproof like Aqua Man and Superman?

I’m fairly sure she’s taken direct hits from alien lasers and still lived so why wouldn’t she just shrug off small arms fire?

You’re telling me she can fist fight mind controlled Superman semi decently, take damage from him and live....

But guns scare her so she bothers to block?

(The real answer is that Wonder Woman's powers have been significantly upgraded over the years, but that the 'bullets and bracers' trick had been so thoroughly established as a part of her behaviour before she became so invulnerable that it "had to be" left in place even when it might no longer be still necessary.)
