And I clearly stated, with research, children do not get manipulated to be warlike or vengeful through videogames.

It’s “children and video games”,not “literally everyone and video games*

Except violent video games are something that contradicts the verses in that article. While UCG was only arguing for protecting children of it, those same verses apply to adults. Including you. By some of my old church's ministers and teachers, that was including violent video games for adults. They said it was something that "decayed the spirit" and contradicted what God wanted for us in the Bible and, thus, was a sin, as it was against God's will. My point was that by this interpretation, you are living in sin playing those games. It's not a major one, but even one unrepentant sin is not a Christ-like thing to do. So it begs the question: Are you a Christian? According to other Christians, you may not be.

The games I play don’t even have blood. At most, I only have exploding space ships.
This is the actual point of the article: “God does not want us to feel the rush of getting back at others. That only fuels the fires of our human carnal nature and enhances the feelings of power and pride. Isn’t that the mind of Satan?”
The concerns here is that children will get a vengeful attitude from such portrayals, and it apparently doesn’t so as research says. The sentiment against VG’s is a common trope amingst older Christians (baby boomers, mostly) but it is not an absolute in Scripture. The Bible’s definition of a Christian is very loud and clear, but it says nothing about seeing two dimensional starships exploding in a screen, or armies clashing.

GTA, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, CoD.
A lot of games kids play are violent.
And you cannot ask one person to define what a Christian is. You are picking at straws there.

It is more of differing views towards a potentnially amoral issue.
But I thought that if you were deliberately living in sin, you would most probablynot be a Christian?
The point is to show you that interpretation can say what is a sin and isnt. If new sins pop up from new interpretations, how many are now bound for hell in the eyes of these new interpreters
