Which is factually and demonstrably wrong in every particular.

If you don't mind me asking, which country? Orthodoxy can vary pretty heavily depending on the area.
Matthew 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God."
No one can see God unless they are pure in heart, and in order to be pure in heart, you need to believe and trust in Jesus. Believing is seeing in this situation.

To be fair, old testament God was kind of just like that. He mellowed out when he sent his son/himself (but not really) to die for our sins.

It is a metaphor. That is the point. You're as bad as the televangelists. At least sophisticated atheists recognise much of the Old Testament as poetic stories and tales written to be just such.

Not really given that it is the new testament that bring about the idea of hell, Satan being god's opponent, and the entire fire and brimstone ending.

Oh, that reminds me - God/Jesus is a paradox. To be both yourself and your son, you have to go back in time and perform carnal acts with your mother, but you wouldn't exist unless you had done so before you existed.

From what I know/remember, the Lord isn't the Son and neither are the Holy Spirit. However, the Lord is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. The same God.

No only dutch sheep. The sheep in Britain, be they grazing on the misty valleys of Glamorganshire, the heathersome highlands or the green and pleasant land of England are good, god fearing beasts.
