Socialism does not outlaw private ownership and work is instead owned by the workers working it. Unless your saying your family are a bunch of multi millionaires who run vast mining operations and factories they'd still own there shop. So again, you clearly don't.

That’s not socialism though. Socialism is when the workers own the means of Production. Now what you are thinking of is Marxist-Leninism which is pretty authoritarian.

Socialism can take many forms ranging from Stalinism, to syndicalism, to Democratic Socialism.

Funnily enough Trump didn't have the popular vote, he just manipulated the electoral college, is some states he won by less than one percent but got all the electoral college votes because of how it works. The US is still a democracy, and it is highly unlikely that it will change any time soon, its just doing a bad job at democracy.
